“The Point” is the Lehigh Valley’s hottest classic rock band. Featuring Kevin Lang, a veteran guitarist/keyboardist, Jeff Stauffer, one of the areas best rock singers (and he plays a mean harp, too!), Ben Lang, Kevin’s son and a stellar guitarist in his own right, Glenn Black on lead and rhythm guitar,  Charlie Madzarac on the bass guitar, laying down some powerful rhythms with Chip Weighknecht on drums, a killer good drummer!

Kevin Lang – Lead guitar, keyboards, vocals. Kevin has been a well-known guitarist in the Lehigh Valley for over 40 years, playing guitar for Turbo, Rampage, Face in the Crowd, Triple Play and more recently with Hired Gun and Legacy, the house band at Penn Hills in the Poconos for 10 years. His knowledge and experience in the many styles of guitar lets the band play everything from Hendrix and Clapton, and even Deep Purple!

 

Jeff Stauffer – Lead vocals, harp. Jeff is a veteran of many bands, including “Hokum”, “Poorboy”, “Exit 44”, and “Rockit Blue”. His experience in classic rock and blues has allowed “The Point” to develop their classic sound. His voice and harp, plus his strong stage presence is what sets this band apart from the many other  bands in the area.

 

 Ben Lang – Lead guitar, vocals, keys. Ben is a fine guitarist, powerful chops and lots of experience! He’s played in many local bands, including “1313” and “Pendulum”, as well as working with “Dear Anna” from time to time. Ben fronts his own original band “The Tank” with Charlie Madzarac and Erick Black. His lead work and stage presence bring a lot to The Point!

 

 

Glenn Black – Lead and rhythm guitar. Glenn’s been all around the world, playing guitar for many bands in the 70’s and 80’s after his service in the USMC. He brings a solid rhythm sound to the band, and knows more about gear than everyone we know!

 

 

Charlie Madzarac – Bass guitar, vocals. Charlie Madz, great bass player and singer, worked with many bands in the Lehigh Valley including “The Electric Cheesemelt” and “The Pissed-off Bastards” (with Kevin and Ben). He also plays bass for “The Tank” with Ben.

 

 

Chip Weighknecht – Drums and percussion. Chip was in Thanatopsis, Devils Half Acre, Nobody’s Mother and worked with countless other wonderful local musicians . He has been a drummer for 40 years and is known for his double bass rock drumming. He brings a powerful rhythm and fabulous chops to The Point’s new lineup. And a real nice guy as well!
